The Kentucky Historical Society is a cultural complex consisting of the Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History, the Old State Capitol, and the Kentucky Military History Museum. Each attraction is open for tours, though the Clark Center is recommended as a starting point due to its permanent exhibit chronicling 12,000 years of regional history. The Society lies in the heart of town, just west of Frankfort Cemetery.
